This is a database capturing basic data from the Immigration and Nationality Directorate (Home Office) and local authorities on children in need arriving from abroad.
NATIONAL SERVICE FRAMEWORK FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND MATERNITY SERVICES
Commonly referred to as the Children’s National Service Framework or the Children’s NSF, this is the government’s 10-year programme (launched in September 2004) to stimulate long-term and sustained improvement in children’s health.
National Service Frameworks are long-term strategies for improving specific areas of health care by setting national standards for a defined service or a particular care group (e.g. children or older people).
NOT IN EDUCATION OR TRAINING (NEET) GROUP
A commonly used acronym that is used to indicate young people who are not in education, employment or training; these young people are a key target group for Connexions.
