The Hampshire Constabulary Youth Advisory Group
Who are we?
We are a group of young people from different areas across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton. By having open discussions and making constructive comments we support Hampshire Constabulary to:
What do we do?
We advise and influence the Constabulary on policies and procedures, but more importantly on practices they use when dealing with young people as victims and witnesses of crime and anti-social behaviour.
We also provide independent advice where key policing services may impact directly on young people. One example of this was advising the Constbulary about how they might police anti-social behaviour around halloween and bonfire night or student behaviour.
We also hope that by sharing knowledge and experiences the Youth Independant Advisory Group will increase young people's confidence in Hampshire Constabulary.
If you would like to find out more about what we do, or you would like to come along to a meeting, please contact Louise Gibbs on 01489 566799.
